Regular internal auditing is an essential aspect of every robust compliance program.  Yet we find many EMS agencies with a compliance plan in place simply don’t do them, or they don’t know how to properly conduct an internal audit of their claims.   This session will provide the steps your agency should take to conduct internal audits, and how you can integrate these audits (both internal or external) into your compliance program to continuously improve your call intake, documentation and billing processes.  You’ll learn how to identify issues before they become big overpayment problems, so you can properly keep the revenue you receive and to effectively defend your billing decisions when your billing is called into question in an audit or investigation.
